New students once admitted to training must pay $150 non-refundable joining fee in advance (cash or check only). We strongly encourage you to come watch a class first and ask questions. The Joining fee does includes the first three months of training. The teacher reserves the right to refuse to accept an applicant as a student. If a student chooses to continue training after the first three months and the teacher accepts them as a student, the tuition dues are paid either monthly or annually via Paypal automatic subscrition online payment (see below). Annual subscription while discounted is not refundable except under unusual circumstances at the descretion of the teacher. It is recommended that you pay monthly. If the Private Muso Shinden Ryu Iaido lessons scheduled outside of the regular class times are possible at a rate of $75/hr (studio rental included, cash or check only).*
In certain cases, a single one-time payment is necessary. This is not meant to be the normal form of payment for ongoing tuition payment and will cost more than the price of paying automatically every month. It's possible to pay for a seminar here as well though still need the paper form to be filled out and recieved before the seminar.
*Note: Non-payment of monthly membership fee places member in non-active status and is not allowed to attend classes without first talking to the teacher in order to be considered for readmission as an active member. In addition, all students are expected to be members in good standing with the North American San Shin Kai (pay annual dues, attend NASSK sanctioned seminars at least 1/yr). Any Iaido Study group fees depend on location. Member dues do not include special events such as Saturday seminars though discounts may be offered for active members.
